Last week Greer Morgan from the Whitebait Connection Northland team went out to support Tinopai Resource Management Unit (www.tinopairmu.co.nz) and Tinopai School’s first freshwater monitoring session at Puapua Creek. This has been a long time coming with the two groups working together to uplift and educate the tamariki of Tinopai School and supporting them to be kaitiaki for their whenua.
Thanks to Northland Regional Council and Enviroschools Aotearoa NZ for supporting this kaupapa by donating a new SHMAK kit and two eDNA kits to the school.
Exciting times!
